Job Summary:

Supervises employees on an assigned shift to ensure process operation, manufacture of products, parts, or to perform service within quality, and cost standards. Operation of a routine nature, normally requiring routine machine set ups in areas such as stamping, extruding, and the operation of units. Typically requires technical proficiency and troubleshooting ability.

 

Role responsibilities:

    • Day-to-day routine Operation activity.
    • Monitor, Adjust, control and optimize plant parameters.
    • Field routine/non routine reading and taking samples.
    • Carry out checks for operation of the equipment to activate maintenance
    • Prepare process equipment, vessels, lines and systems as per established procedure prior to start up, shutdown to safely and effectively carry out any maintenance activity
    • Perform and support plant start-up and shutdown activity.
    • Identify, report and assess plant operating problems and issues.
    • Troubleshooting and support for issues in plant.
    • Supervises the work activities ensuring that field activities are coordinated during normal, start up and emergency situations
    • Supervises the planned maintenance of process and safety equipment to be carried out and coordinate with other plants
    • Determines operation priorities based on production schedules and makes daily assignments with minimum guidance
    • Represents work area in operational/job safety analysis meetings, providing advice and support to other departments
    • Acts as the issuing authority, signing work permits as per the authorization levels to ensure that jobs are carried out safely
    • Conduct observations on unsafe/safe acts and reports in timely manner.
    • Directs all related personnel actions, including training, performance appraisal, and discipline with guidance.
    • Prepares relevant shift/daily reports to ensure stakeholders are informed of the process status with guidance.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

8 years’ experience with Diploma is desirable with 5 years supervisory experience

 

Skills and Competencies:

    • Monomer plant trouble shooting.
    • Systematic execution of operating procedures.
    • Knowledge of industrial safety and housekeeping.
