Superintendent II, Technical Training Job

Work Location:  KSA > Jizan

 

Advanced Metal Industries Co. (AMIC), which is equally owned by Tasnee and Cristal.

Tasnee, signed a joint venture agreement with Japan’s Toho Titanium Company in January 2014 to build the SAR 1.6 billion project. The titanium sponge project is the region’s first of its type to produce 15,600 tons of pure titanium. The company has sent 69 Saudi engineers to train for two years in Japan on producing pure titanium.

Superintendent, Technical Training

An exciting opportunity is available Superintendent, Technical Training based in Jazan, KSA who will report directly to Manager, Process Technology and Business Improvement. 

 

Summary:

We are seeking for a motivated Superintendent, Technical Training who will:

  • Oversee and manage the execution of technical training to support operations in the development of the work force. Responsible for creating and implementing technical training programs and material in line with operational needs as well as regulatory and statutory requirements. Sets performance metrics, evaluates productivity, and helps workers create long-term career plans within the organization.

 

In this role, you will be responsible of:

  • <span 72="">Evaluate needs of the site and plan training programs accordingly.
  • <span 72="">Collaborate with line managers and Cristal global L&D to develop a site training strategy.
  • <span 72="">Develop, implement, and monitor training programs within the site.
  • <span 72="">Create training material.
  • <span 72="">Develop multimedia visual aids and presentations.
  • <span 72="">Manage technical training function and supervise subordinates.
  • <span 72="">Provide classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
  • <span 72="">Create, implement and manage testing and evaluation processes.
  • <span 72="">Provide performance feedback and maintain individual training records and proof of competencies.
  • <span 72="">Conduct continuing education and leadership development training utilizing own material and the Cristal Academy.
  • <span 72="">Build solid cross-functional relationships.
  • <span 72="">Produce reports, analysis, evaluations in support of the site learning and development program.
  • <span 72="">Prepare and implement training budget.

 

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

  • A recognized qualification in training or a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
  • Computer literate and skilled in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

 

Level & Type of Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required:

Function Specific:

  • Experience in a supervisory role within a training environment (3 years).
  • Experience in training and teaching in a classroom or business environment (5 years).
  • Proven experience in writing of operating procedures, work instructions and training material development.
  • Able to provide training of a technical nature to a diverse work force.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to engage and influence at a team level.
  • Good people management skills including identifying training related solutions for technical issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skill and ability to work effectively on a higher level.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to analyse trends and identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Leadership skills to lead and work as part of a team including team building, coaching and mentoring and motivation for personnel development.
