Superintendent, Mechanical Maintenance Job

Work Location:  KSA > Jizan

An exciting opportunity is available Superintendent, Mechanical, based in Jizan who will report directly to Engineering and Maintenance Manager . 

 Summary:

  • To manage the maintenance and reliability of the furnaces, Treatment plants and ancillary equipment such as the water treatment and raw material plants to ensure that the furnaces remain operational as per the design capacity. Further assisting the Mechanical department with problem solving of equipment failure.

 In this role, you will be responsible of:

  1. Manage the effective achievement of objectives through the leadership – setting individual objectives, recruiting qualified staff, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and division performance.
  2. Analyze key performance indicator (KPI) and recommend improvements with focus on maintenance processes & executions.
  3. Ensure employee compliance to safety rules (PSM) and recommended additional revised rules as necessary.
  4. Lead the department in liaison and coordination with related function/departments in conducting maintenance activities.
  5. Create and maintain a working environment for people to achieve excellence in their working environment
  6. Advise and assist Engineering and Maint. Manager in all required areas
  7. Ongoing problem solving for the entire production departments
  8. Attend to process failures and ensure speedy recovery of processes
  9. Compiling and implementing standard Maintenance procedures for all over the plant.
  10. Improve and maintain cross functional customer relationships
  11. Maintain and improve safety and quality standards (ISO 9001, 14000, 18001)
  12. Provide technical support for the design, construction, commissioning and start up of a large scale Greenfield operation.
  13. Fulfil standby duties as per schedule.

 

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical.
  • 12 Years experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 20 Years experience with a diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

 

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  3. Excellent Technical and analytical skills
  4. Ability to work under pressure
  5. Compiling and implementing standard operating procedures for furnaces mechanical team
  6. Knowledge of mechanical design.
  7. Ability to understand hydraulic diagrams and solve complex system failures
  8. Extensive furnace maintenance experience
  9. Good Knowledge of Pumps selection, Installation and Repair.
  10. Excellent Experience on Belt conveyors repair and maintenance.
  11. Experience on piping system and welding repairs.
  12. Experience on bucket elevators.
  13. Experience on compressors , fans, blowers repair and maintenance.
  14. Good experience in leading engineers and technicians and utilize the team in best way.
  15. Excellent reporting skills and presentations .
  16. Excellent knowledge in PMPd of mechanical equipment.
  17. Excellent Experience on Equipment lubrication and greasing .
  18. Excellent Experience on reviewing equipment drawings and follow up on equipment fabrication .
  19. Good management of spare parts.
  20. Good experience on cranes maintenance.
  21. Excellent Experience on building section KPIs and goals and working to achieve them.
  22. Good knowledge in cost control and management of sections expenditures.
  23. Good experience in creating and following up of maintenance contracts.
  24. Good knowledge in creating mechanical procedures.
  25. Good knowledge on lean manufacturing including 5S.
