An exciting opportunity is available for Sr Specialist I, OT Security Defense Based in Jubail and will report directly to Section Head , OT Security Defense

 

         

 Job Summary:

 

                 The Sr Specialist I, OT Security Defense will Leads OT cybersecurity defense activities to protect industrial control systems, operational networks, and critical assets through threat detection, incident response, security monitoring, and risk mitigation. Provides technical leadership and drives continuous improvement of OT security capabilities.

          

 

          Qualification and Requirements:.

 

  • Degree in a technology-related field, or equivalent work- or education-related experience. Professional security management certification is desirable
  • +5 years of experience.

 

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monitoring and analysis of security events, alerts, and cyber threats within OT environments.
  • Conduct advanced threat hunting and investigation activities to identify potential security risks and compromise indicators.
  • Lead OT cybersecurity incident response activities, including detection, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
  • Analyze emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry advisories to assess potential impact on OT assets and operations.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Digital Security, and external vendors to address cybersecurity risks and incidents.
  • Review, optimize, and maintain OT security technologies, including intrusion detection systems, network monitoring tools, and security analytics platforms.
  • Perform OT cybersecurity risk assessments and support the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of security controls and defense mechanisms for OT networks and systems.
  • Lead the administration, review, and optimization of OT firewalls, including firewall policy governance, rule reviews, segmentation controls, and secure remote access configurations.
  • Review firewall rule changes, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards and operational requirements.
  • Develop and maintain OT security procedures, playbooks, standards, and technical documentation.
  • Support regulatory compliance efforts, audits, assessments, and cybersecurity reviews.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to OT Security Defense team members.
  • Participate in cybersecurity projects and initiatives to ensure secure deployment and operation of OT systems.
  • Prepare security reports, performance metrics, and management briefings on cybersecurity posture and risks.
  • Support business continuity and resilience efforts through cybersecurity preparedness and response planning.

 

 

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of OT cybersecurity, ICS, and SCADA environments.
  • Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols
  • Experience with OT security monitoring, threat detection, and threat hunting.
  • Knowledge of OT security solutions, including NDR, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and asset discovery tools.
  • Expertise in OT incident response, forensic analysis, and cyber investigations.
  • Strong understanding of OT risk assessment and vulnerability management.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (ISA/IEC 62443, NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-82, ISO 27001).
  • Understanding of network architecture, segmentation, and secure remote access in OT environments.
  • Experience with security control design, implementation, and validation.
