Sr Specialist, Molding Job

1. Performs tasks/projects of a larger scope and assumes some leadership for specific tasks within the project scope in the field of polyolefin molding i.e. material characterization for various molding application grades, prepare material data sheet, plastic resin quality and performance according to international standards, market need and customer requirements. Manage new molding developments project to fit specific application requirements and meet the deliverables plan and milestones of the project. Engages in initiatives of moderate difficulty.

2. Under the supervision of senior members or independently, evaluates selects and applies procedures and techniques in the field of various forms of molding process like Rotational, Compression, Blow, and injection molding, new processing technologies. Identifies problems and related technical issues leading to long-term, generic solutions in the area of materials. Technical support to the customer to resolve the material issue, establishing grade in the market via technical knowhow, visit and operation of equipment under molding section.

3. Defines work-plans and approaches and assumes responsibility for timeliness, cost effectiveness, and quality of outputs. Continually aims to enhance capabilities for project planning, including assessment of cost, scope and schedule against plan.

4. Contributes in providing ideas to improve the efficiency of the unit in the area of molding field.

5. Continually improves technical expertise and knowledge through experience and application in the area of plastic molded components based on required applications.

6. Plays an active role in the preparation of reports, papers, presentations, new proposals. Presents papers at technical meetings. Starts becoming part of identifiable external peer network.

7. Assists in planning, evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard scientific techniques and procedures.

8. Adheres to high process standards by applying the principles of the scientific method; documenting and sharing best practices; and engaging with center of excellence from academia, industry, and specialized organizations.

9. Adheres to high process standards by implementing quality assurance processes, implementing and complying with safety and environmental standards, and respecting regulatory guidelines.

Qualification and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Material/Polymer Science, or related field with minimum 5 years of experience.
• Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Material/Polymer Science, or related field with minimum 3 years of experience.
• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Material/Polymer Science, or related field from internationally recognized university.
• Hands-on experience in the field of plastic molding involving various molding process techniques, troubleshooting and improvement and application development.
• Original research and academic publications in relevant fields.
