Specialist II, HSE Job

An exciting opportunity is available for HSE Specialist, based in Riyadh and will reports directly to Superintendent, Quality & HSE



HSE Specialist to monitor health and safety and keeping on the lookout for any unsafe behavior or breaks in regulations, Assessing risk, and design strategies to reduce potential hazards within a workplaces, in addition to manage and train other health and safety staff members and investigate and respond to incident reports and creating analytical reports of safety data.

In this role, you will be responsible of:


  • Ensures that SHE policy and procedure manuals are available and updated at all times.
  • Provide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs at the employee / supervisor level and monitor personnel and workspace to ensure adherence to all relevant legal rules and regulations to ensure a common and effective approach.
  • Provide new-employee health and safety orientations and develop materials for these presentations.
  • Ensure that contractor personnel working on the property are in compliance with RSS policies and safety requirements.
  • Order suspension of activities that pose threats to workers' health or safety.
  • Conduct safety training or education programs and demonstrate the use of safety equipment.
  • Train new HSE crew members.
  • Identifies and assesses risks associated with tools and equipment, job sites, workplace, work processes, and work environments , and implements recommended measures to eliminate or contain them.
  • Inspect or evaluate regularly workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and all environmental, health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers or specialist to institute measures to control hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions or equipment to protect workers from hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
  • Investigating incidents that affect health such as pollution, accidents at work, noise control, toxic contamination, lead poisoning and waste management to identify causes and to determine how might be prevented in the future.
  • Communicate effectively and represent the department with local government officials, external government agencies, industry representatives, consultants, non-governmental organizations, department staff, and the public and ensure inspections are coordinated and deficiencies minimized and corrected.
  • Lead the Emergency Response team and update plans and procedures.
  • Travel to sits including operational offices as required and perform any additional duties as required.
  • Report to Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and other relevant organizations.
  • Monitoring all operations and Ensuring proper notification of all environmental incidents.


About You:


Minimum Qualification:


  • Bachelor degree in Engineering (Chemist, Mechanical, Electrical, or Safety).


Minimum Experience:


  • At least 4 years of experience in managing Safety at Smelters, Metals Industry, Manufacturing Industry and/or other similar Industries.
