Specialist II, Emergency Response Job

Work Location:  KSA > Yanbu

 

Advanced Metal Industries and Toho Titanium (ATTM), is a private company operating within the materials sector focusing on specialty chemicals.

 

An exciting opportunity is available for Specialist II, Emergency Response, based in Yanbu and will reports directly to EHS Manager.
 
Summary:
Lead and command the ERT, prepare and develop Fire and Emergency Response Plan for ATTM site including responding to hazard material transportation incidents.
Provide guidance to ERT and ensure relevant area teams are prepared, trained, and equipped with the necessary safety requirements.
Develop and maintain the Emergency Command Centre to acceptable level as conditioned in the emergency plan.

 

In this role, you will be responsible of:
1. EP&R Plan:
- Develops and updates the Emergency Preparedness & Response Plan
- Ensures EP&R are communicated to all teams and employees
- Ensures EP&R plan are implemented and tested periodically
- Ensures EP&R Plan work requirements are adequate and
2. Command Centre:
- Manages the command centre and ensures it is equipped the necessary requirement
- Leads the emergency team in responding to normal situations, emergencies and disasters
- Ensures active communication among all teams and other support parties
- Establishes and maintains proactive and effective relationship with relevant regulatory, professional and industry bodies and corporate functions and represents the Site/Company in these relationships
3. Fire Prevention and Protection:
- Develops and maintains the fire prevention plan
- Ensures Fire Protection System is reliable and upgraded regularly
4. ERT Team Coverage:
- Ensures ERT coverage are on duty and fully aware of the plant status and conditions
- Ensures ERT members are trained and prepared 
5. EP&R Tools:
- Manages the tools for containing emergencies are available and properly maintained
- Conducts reliability tests among the ERT members and ensures membership are active and adequate

 

Minimum Qualification and Experience:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• Has broad training in the fields of fire, Risk, Industrial Disaster and Hazard control.
• Five years work experience in the manufacturing industry, with broad and in-depth exposure in safety, security, fire, and emergency response.

 

Level & Type of Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Ability to develop emergency scenarios and outline the risks and potential situations
- Ability to develop response techniques to a developed scenario
- Strong background in the relevant standards, such as NFPA
- Ability to build and develop the ERT
- Certification or demonstration of fire & risk assessment competence through previous work experience of 3-5 years
- Good communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written in both Arabic and English
- Ability to lead and motivate teams.
