Superintendent, Quality Job

An exciting opportunity is available for a Superintendent, Quality and will report directly to Manager, SSHE & Quality

 

About the Role:

  

  • To lead and manage the strategic and operational performance of the Quality department, ensuring the successful delivery of business strategy, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and objectives, while adhering to regulatory compliance and achieving commercial success.
  • To ensure the efficient and effective day to day running of the department.

 

you will be responsible to:

 

  • Organizes and coordinates activities of the quality team around implementation of quality programs and standards.
  • Implementing and monitoring all Quality Assurance systems to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards
  • Acting as the main point of contact on all Quality matters, internally and externally.
  • Ensuring the development of departmental SOPs
  • Plans and establishes schedules and reviews performance of team members against objectives.
  • Recommends new quality policies or procedures to ensure high quality products, processes or services
  • Communicates programs and standards to the quality team and other employees, and coordinates training.
  • Ensuring that there is an audit program in place which is communicated to Operations.
  • Assembles cost control and statistical data in support of quality objectives, as needed.
  • Provides inputs about any deviations from the quality standards to the corrective measures imposed. Ensuring appropriate investigation of discrepancies, errors, complaints, failures or adverse events requiring documented review and action (if necessary, interrupting processes causing material to be quarantined or placed on hold until matters are resolved).
  • Monitors the measurement and testing equipment’s operation to ensure their proper functioning, at the required standards.
  • Implementation of IMS- (Integrated Management system).
  • Handling customer complaints and review the effectiveness of corrective & preventive actions committed to the customers.
  • Monitors the performance and provides directions, guidance and coaching to all team members to ensure team efficiency and effectiveness and an appropriate succession planning at laboratory level.
  • Working with all members of staff to maintain and develop the positive progressive culture within QA Laboratory.

 

 

About You:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 8 years in a quality assurance environment capacity.
  • Proven, demonstrated proficiency and success managing staff
  • Demonstrated experience working hands on in a quality assurance and control environment, with proven supervisory skills
  • QMS / EMS
  • Analytical Report writing in English
  • Resource utilization and control.
