Job purpose:
Identify key priorities for corporate and support functions which enable the delivery of Tasnee corporate and SBU strategies. Optimize operating model for Tasnee support functions, including work process optimization, organization optimization and capability (e.g., systems) optimization to reach medium- to long-term cost, efficiency, and quality targets consistent with Tasnee corporate and SBU strategies. Develop specific strategic initiatives and action plans to reach objectives.
Role responsibilities:
- Liaise with Shared Services Planning and Control and monitor the performance of support functions including cost, quality, and efficiency.
- Conduct necessary alignment, through workshops and other means, to define the requirements from each Support Function to meet core strategic objectives for Tasnee corporate and for Tasnee SBUs.
- Optimize the Support Functions operating model to be able to deliver on the requirements with maximum efficiency, lowest cost, and highest quality. This includes;
- Mapping key work processes (current) and identifying gaps / improvement opportunities.
- Advising on centralization vs. decentralization for various activities and processes, consistent with Tasnee corporate strategy and business portfolio plans.
- Regularly benchmarking FTE-per-service volume driver with similar functions in similar geographies / industries (often with the support of external consultants) to ensure competitive levels of efficiency.
- Supporting the development and regular refresh of Tasnee’s IT strategy, including (i) degree of integration across different Tasnee businesses, (ii) optimization of application landscape across Tasnee, (iii) identifying digitization / automation initiatives stemming from process mapping / process optimization efforts described in 3(a).
- Stay update on industry trends, new tools, emerging technologies, and practices being employed to improve the quality of support functions at reduced cost.
- Conduct SWOT analysis, or other analyses serving as an input to the for the strategy preparation.
- Commission appropriate research and analysis from internal and external sources Commission appropriate research and analysis from internal and external sources to ensure that the strategy recommendations are based on reliable information.
- Develop and periodically update Functional Strategies and set mid to long term targets for each Support Function. This includes making the functions ready to deliver on the expectations in line with M&A and divestment strategies.
- Identify and define initiatives to achieve mid to long term targets, using Strategy Execution Framework (SEF).
- Prepare and make written and verbal communications for internal and external audiences in respect Functional Strategies.
Qualification and Requirements:
- Masters/Graduate degree in general management, economics, engineering or other related field.
- MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification from internationally recognized university in Finance or Strategy. Professional certification (e.g. CFA) is a plus.
- 10+ years’ experience in Strategy, Business Development, Finance, or Investment Management
- Problem solving – proven ability to translate creative ideas into practical reality.
- Strategic thinking – ability to evaluate complex strategic and policy issues with clear analysis and judgement.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, and experience in Microsoft Excel modelling.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including mastery of Microsoft PowerPoint.
