Manager, Litigation & Commercial Job
An exciting opportunity is available for Litigation and Commercial Manager, Report to, Chief Legal Officer located in Riyadh.
Job purpose:
The Litigation and Commercial Manager is responsible for overseeing all legal matters related to litigation and commercial activities across the company and its subsidiaries. This includes managing litigation risks, handling disputes, negotiating contracts, and providing strategic legal counsel on commercial matters. The role ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations while supporting the company’s strategic and operational objectives.
Role responsibilities:
Litigation Management:
- Oversee and manage all litigation cases involving the company and its subsidiaries.
- Develop strategies for dispute resolution and ensure effective representation in courts or arbitration.
- Liaise with external legal counsel to achieve favorable outcomes in litigation matters.
- Provide preventive legal counsel to mitigate litigation risks.
Commercial Legal Support:
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, including procurement, sales, and partnership contracts.
- Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide strategic legal advice on complex commercial transactions, including joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions.
Risk Mitigation:
- Identify and evaluate potential legal risks related to litigation and commercial activities.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize risks and protect the company’s interests
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals and support staff within the litigation and commercial division.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Ensure professional development and growth of team members.
Strategic Alignment:
- Align litigation and commercial legal strategies with the company’s broader goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide legal support for commercial initiatives.
Qualification and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; Master’s degree in Law is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of legal experience, with significant exposure to litigation and commercial law.
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures and commercial contract laws.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
