Inspector, Conformity Engineer Job

Work Location:  GCC > Dubai

An exciting opportunity is available in TUV Company for a Inspector VI, Conformity Engineer Based in Dubai  and will report directly to Head of Conformity, ITS



About the role:


Responsible in performing evaluation/review/approval activity in the conformity assessment process. Responsible for timely issuance of Conformity Certificates as per the relevant legal body, scheme and accreditation body requirements.



You will be responsible to:


  • Maintain the integrity of the company name & brand.
  • Provide scientific and technical knowledge of the products as per the relevant scheme.
  • Advise on certification requirements and other details for specific product categories.
  • Update and maintains understanding of international and regional standards and schemes
  • Ensure maintenance & improvement of competency and qualification as Conformity Engineer as per the required standards and other applicable codes, regulations and organizational requirements.
  • Provide quality, scientific and technical knowledge of the products as per the relevant Scheme.
  • Ensure correct and timely issuance of Conformity Certificates
  • Maintain KPI and targets of the International Trade Services department
  • Identify the product specific requirements, standards, relevant scheme and assess accordingly.
  • Prepare Technical Instructions relevant to the products and scheme.
  • Provide timely and effective response to client enquiries regarding product requirement and standards.
  • Identify non-complying products and maintaining records for the same.
  • Develop and maintains process procedures for the departmental activities.
  • Escalate high risk matters to the Management.
  • Perform other conformity relates tasks assigned by management




About You:


Minimum Qualification:


  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably Engineering/ science in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical, Food or related field)
  • Relevant qualification and certification as per required discipline and standard
  • Pre-qualification with relevant authorities (added advantage)
  • Business & Industry Knowledge
  • Professional Knowledge.
  • Valid local Driver’s License



  • Minimum Experience:



  • 1- 3 years’ experience in the field of inspection, testing and quality control/ assurance (min 2years for ESMA)
  • Work experience in similar organizations (added advantage)
