Head, RIG Quality & HSE Job

An exciting opportunity is available in Rowad International Geosynthetics Company for Head, RIG Quality & HSE  Based in Dammam and will report directly to Section Head, RIG Quality Control

 

About the role:

 

  • To manage, plan, control, maintain and review the Quality Control and Quality Assurance systems, starting from incoming materials, online inspection and finish good specifications, to ensure that it meets the requirements. 
  • Leading and monitoring New Product Development, Product Modifications, Recipe optimization and cost control projects.
  • Communication with internal and external parties like operations, Supply Chain, HR, Admin, suppliers, contractors and Customers.
  • To lead and monitor ISO certifications requirements for RNPC.
  • To manage QC Labs of RNPC.

 

You will be responsible to:

 

 

  1. Safety:

 

  • Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health
  • Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
  • Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting
  • Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed, and employees are aware of their responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate the development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures

 

  1. Material Control and Release:

 

  • Manage inspection and release of incoming, intermediate/online and finished materials according to agreed quality plan and specifications. Effectively manage NC’s by reporting on follow-up CAPAs.
  • Raise CA/PA based on complaints receive from particular supplier and validate improvement/s done.
  • Ensure SAP registration and monitor lead-time to close on time.
  • Developing and implement Release system in place and adequate implementation on the floor to guarantee no defected material will delivered to production.
  • Developing and implementing appropriate verification programs and systems to manage the material and minimize non-conformance. (change management, daily tour, action plan, developing new standard)
  • Implement validation process for any new material and ensure the implementation.
  • Decision making: responsible for making technical decisions that involve the risk assessment and compliance, which can affect both product costing and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in department budget and cost saving projects with his superior.

 

 

3. Calibration:

  • Lead calibration system to ensure scales, probes and other technical equipment are regularly checked and, where necessary, corrective action taken according to the predetermined schedule and appropriate records are maintained.
  • Keep monitoring and tracking to ensure the calibration done on time and no miss for any device, also the adding of new devices on SAP.

 

4. Leading Product Development Projects:

  • Lead the new projects in terms of qualification and validation, agreement and production, coordination for trials.
  • Coordinate for trials inside the plant and external at technical centre and at customer side.
  • Send the details reports on monthly basis to all concerned managers.
  • Keep channel of communication with Tasnee (T & I) for product development (if required), to get testing of products and materials and sharing the results with them.

 

5. QMS Documents Management:

 

  • Conduct training and awareness of SOP/WI and Specifications, related to control and/or production of incoming, start up, intermediate/online and finished products.
  • Train responsible employee to understand the applicable TP/SOP/WI and Specifications relating to specific task/job.
  • Ensure all measuring test device are functional and report any deviation.
  • Ensure master file for internal and external calibration activity.
  • Review and approve the quality plan, AQL, Testing procedures.
  • Review and approve approved supplier list.

 

6. Integrated Claim and Complaint Management:

  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate link and flow of  SAP Module information within Plant SAP, update supplier and customer complaints in SAP system and present it in monthly review meetings to VP.
  • Verify complaint closing reports of complaints and only forward its outcome with all concerns, after verification and reviewing the WHY-WHY analysis and root cause plus action plan.

 

7. Supplier Assessment and Management:

 

  • Ensure materials are only sourced from approved suppliers.
  1. Internal qualification is always executed with signature and approved.
  • Measure and report the Supplier Quality performance.
  1. Review Monthly report is known.
  • Escalate negative quality trends from Supplier Quality:
  1. Initiate and conduct meeting to ensure specification is maintained.

b). Conduct immediate audit in case supplier repeated complaints are not improve still.

c). Provide proof for any deviations found during incoming delivery.

8. Communication and Reports:

  • Provide on a monthly KPI reports on time
  • a). Supplier performance.
  •       b). Quality monthly reports.
  •        c). Product Development Status.

 

About You:

Minimum Qualification:

  • B.S degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering

 

Minimum Experience:

8 years of experience with 3 years supervisory experience
