Engineer III, Technical Job

     An exciting opportunity is available for Engineer III, Technical Located in Jubail, KSA

 

Job Purpose

      Individuals should be qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. The NDT Level III should be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which they are qualified and should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees and NDT Level I & II personnel. The NDT Level III should be able to organize and report the results of NDT tests to the higher management

 

      Role responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections by visual observation, conventional or advanced NDT
  • Professional in the use of other inspection methods, which may be used by the Inspection department
  • Provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) and certification to Level I NDT Inspectors, trainees, and fellow Level II NDT Inspectors
  • Set-up, operate, calibrate, and perform Process Control Checks on NDT (DPT/MPT/RT/UT) equipment by following established instructions and record results
  • Interpret the results of all methods of non-destructive testing (NDT) such as acoustic emission, electromagnetic, leak, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, radiographic, radiographic, thermal or infrared, ultrasonic and visual testing
  • Ensure all equipment and consumable from contractor to be ready for use with good conditions under acceptance criteria specific by approved procedure or international standard
  • Maintain qualification record for NDT technician/inspectors
  • Select, calibrate, or operate equipment used in the non-destructive testing (NDT) of products or materials
  • Develop NDT inspection procedures for company
  • Review procedures, specifications, drawings and other instructions for completeness and instructions to perform an operation
  • Maintain required job skills and knowledge of requirements (including procedures, specifications, etc.)
  • Perform field audit during actual NDT inspection done by NDT technicians
  • Review and approve NDT inspection report prepared by NDT technicians
  • Select NDT technicians by appropriate interview and demonstration of successful NDT inspection by Technician
  • Maintain accurate record keeping and an inspection tool inventory of calibrated inspection tools.
  • Maintain work area, equipment, and all documents/records to be always audit-ready
  • Performs the above and other assigned duties in a safe, quality-focused manner

 

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree BE/BSC in Mechanical Engineering
  • 8 – 12 years of experience in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industries.
  • ASNT level-III certification in minimum 3 methods (DPT, UT, RT, MPT, VT, ECT, )
  • International certification (preferred to have API510 / API570 / API653, CSWIP or AWS)
