Job Purpose
As an experienced Process Engineer performs tasks requiring the selection and application of a range of standard technical problem technical problem-solving techniques, monitoring and analysis.
Job Summary:
As an experienced Process Engineer, undertakes assignments of varying scope and complexity involving a range of standard technical problem-solving techniques and computational methods, assisting more senior professionals who will at all times provide some supervision and guidance based on detailed work review.
Role responsibilities:
- Maintains high HSE standards and seeks to ensure a healthy, safe work environment and working practices at all times
- Validates standard internal and 3rd party Process design work for conformance with established standards and procedures.
- Reviews and evaluates technical bid proposals for engineering work, evaluates and reports conclusions, noting bid deviations
- Escalates emerging and complex plant issues to more senior engineers to ensure action is taken to resolve on a timely basis.
- Participates in projects; aligns tasks to project schedules/plans ensuring delivery within time, cost and quality constraints.
- Reviews and analyses relevant plant, process and engineering data and recommends changes required to optimize operations.
- Provides guidance and support to help more junior team members.
- Carries out conventional engineering tasks requiring broad application of engineering knowledge, regulations and standards.
- Develops a range of engineering plans and supports documentation seeking guidance from senior level engineers as required.
Qualification and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with 5 years’ experience in relevant petrochemical industry.
