Chemicals, Process Engineer Job

Work Location:  KSA > Jubail

An exciting opportunity is available for a Chemical Process Engineer and will report directly to Process Engineering Monomer Superintendent.

 

 

About the role:

 

Process Engineer is responsible on overall monitoring and enhance various plant operations. Provide operating facilities with required expertise to promote innovative solution, troubleshoot assistance, increase revenue, review & assist capital projects and develop company engineering guidelines & procedures.

 

You will be responsible to:

 

  • Provide plant operation with Technical inputs and support for plant, Prepare different Heat & Material balance scenarios.
  • Evaluating plant process and evaluate changes proposed to design, taking environmental and economic aspects into account.
  • Working closely with process chemists and control engineers to ensure the plant is set up to provide maximum output levels and efficient operation of the facility.
  • Setting up scale-up and scale-down processes including appropriate changes to equipment design and configuration.
  • Designing, installing and commissioning new projects, including monitoring developments and troubleshooting;
  • Perform process simulations, assessing options for plant expansion or reconfiguration by developing and testing process simulation models.
  • Perform risk assessments, manage cost and time constraints, provide process documentation and operating instructions, develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
  • Optimizing production by analyzing processes; troubleshoot problems with manufacturing processes, evaluate equipment and processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, propose improved manufacturing processes and applying new technologies.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Chemical Engineering degree from recognized institution
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience
  • Petrochemicals process familiarization. In particular, Acrylates process, syn gas process, Butanol process
     

 

Required Skills:

  • Strong command of business-level written and spoken English
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving
  • Acrylates process (Oxidation & Butyl Acrylate)
  • Syn gas process
  • Butanol process (n-Butanol process and OXO process)
