Advisor III, Downstream Strategy Job

Work Location:  KSA > Riyadh


An exciting opportunity is available for Advisor , Downstream Strategy, based in Riyadh and will reports directly to Head of Strategy,

In this role, you will be responsible of:  

  • Strategy Development and Review
  • Develop and regularly update Tasnee’s Downstream strategy by conducting assessment of macroeconomic and industry trends, analysing competitive landscape and new areas of growth, staying up to speed with latest technology innovations. Develop scenario analyses, macroeconomic and industry forecasts
  • Perform regular strategic reviews of SBU Downstream
  • Drive complex industry analyses through hypothesis-based problem solving
  • Develop industry model for petrochemical industry, analysing key demand and supply factors
  • Understand, structure and analyse complex business issues, including impact of macroeconomic, political and technology changes on the Downstream industry and evaluate impact on Tasnee’s operations
  • Translate analysis output into practical and implementable recommendations
    Strategic Planning
  • Translate Downstream strategy into actionable set of initiatives and monitor their implementation at SBU Downstream
  • Support CFO and Finance Business Partners in monitoring performance of SBU Downstream, and recommend changes to the corporate investment/CapEx strategy based on current performance and emerging market trends
  • Effectively cooperate with industry managers in Strategy department and ensure that proposed initiatives are coherent and coordinated between industry groups / managers
    Supporting Business Development, M&A and Competitive Intelligence teams
  • Support business development and M&A teams in target screening and assessment, due diligence, business valuation, deal negotiation and acquisition integration activities
  • Assess and evaluate target companies to support execution of strategic partnership agreements, JV and M&A transactions
  • Share insights and recommendations in a structured and easily digestible manner in both written and oral format
  • Actively participate in internal and external presentations, meetings, discussions
  • Play a key role in strategic projects within SBU Downstream  core business


 About You: 

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

  •  experience in Strategy, Business Development or Finance;
  • Professional experience gained through a combination of professional services firm (investment bank, consulting firm, etc.) and strategy / business development work at industrial conglomerate is strongly recommended
    Job Specific Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of core business disciplines such as Strategy, Finance, Marketing and Operations
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and quantitative skills, and experience in Microsoft Excel modelling
