Accountant III, General Ledger PetChem Job

An exciting opportunity is available for Accountant III, General Ledger Petchem Reports to, Section Head, General Accounting located in Jubail.  

Job purpose:

 

Responsible for conforming to procedural framework and to post financial transactions according to defined policies, procedures and instructions.

Responsible for accuracy of financial data and compliance to all internal/regulatory protocols.

 

Role responsibilities:

 

  • Process general ledger and fixed assets entries and post entries according to Tasnee policies and procedures so that all transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Carry out checks on GL balances in order to ensure accuracy, consistency and quality of data.
  • Perform analysis on trial balance for monthly closing, reporting and audit.
  • Provide Comments on IFRS impact identified during monthly closing process.
  • Inter-company accounts reconciliation, analysis, and settlement proposal.
  • Assist in liaising with personnel from other departments/ business areas to verify the accuracy of source data so that all financial reports and reconciliations can be relied upon.
  • Prepare/post manual journal entries.
  • Ensure compliance in area of responsibility.
  • Assist senior colleagues in their tasks to support in completion of activities.
  • Assist senior persons in preparation of month end reports as required by the business and/or Legal Reporting.
  • Assist in audit and preparation of financial statements and disclosures.
  • Process all transactions according to externally defined legislation and internal guidelines of Tasnee.
  • Follow IFRS accounting standards and be responsible for the books of account and quality of work produced.
  • Meeting all month end deadlines as communicated.
  • Sharing and adoption of Tasnee best practices.
  • Develop own professional expertise through optimizing on the job training opportunities and formal professional qualifications and through understanding Tasnee’s finance and accounting workflows.

 

 

Qualification and Requirements:

 

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
  • 4+ years’ experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting in Finance departments for simialr role.
  • Knowledge to ERP SAP is a must.
  • Good communication skills
  • Knolwedge of international acoutning stadnards like IFRS.
  • Good analytical skills for reviewing financial reports.
  • Should have good knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Willing to learn and implement the learnings.
  • Problem solving, ability to articulate.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
